One Strategy For the New Year

January 2, 2015 By Debby Adar

Now that the New Year is upon us, what are your plans for 2015? What strategies do you have in place to make your visions a reality?

How clear are those visions for your goals for the next 12 months? Begin to think about what you can do differently. I would like to touch on just one thing that has made a huge difference in my life and has freed up a lot of time for me to do the things that are important to me in achieving my goals, and perhaps it will in yours too. And that is doing things as a “team” and not just you.

This is one of the hardest things for me to do. I have discovered that my “I can do it myself and do it better” attitude is not only not a true statement,  it also only hurts me in reaching my growth and full potential.   And when you think about it – it’s a little on the arrogant side. You see, every person that you come into contact with knows something that you do not know. Why not learn from the people who have paved the path for us already? It certainly makes life a lot easier.

For example, cleaning my own house was a “pride” thing for me. My mom did it and I thought that “real” women should be able to clean house, cook balanced healthy meals, do laundry and work —and that I should be able to be successful at all of these things……. WRONG!! Boy …..was I wrong.

I discovered, through the urging of my husband, that there are people out there who do all those things and LOVE doing them and……wait for it……. Are actually better at those things than I am.

Here is the formula that I used to justify spending money to pay others to do things for me that I am very well capable of.

First figure out how much money you can make in an hour at your business. Let’s say you can make $75 an hour. It takes 3 hours to clean your house. That is $225 that you could have made if you were working at your job. A housekeeper can be hired that charges $25 an hour. That will cost you $75 — so you have just added an extra $150 to your bottom line for the day! It’s really quite simple; it is just a mindset shift.   You would never pay someone to clean your house $75 and hour, so when you take time out of your schedule to clean your house you essentially are paying someone $75 an hour to do that.

Keep the important things in your life the important things, and find someone that can be on your “team” that can do the things for you that can push you toward your goals!

Live your dreams. It is possible!

Laser Focus!

December 23, 2014 By Debby Adar

What is your focus on? I am focused on achieving my dreams and finding out my “WHY” so I can do so. I am a big believer in that fact that if your “why” isn’t big enough – you will never figure out the “how” and you will never get your dreams. I am also laser focused on helping others to find their “why” to make their dreams come true.

What are you focused on? Are you focused on providing for your family? Are you focused on getting a home to live in? Are you focused on getting a new job or maybe a raise? No matter what your focus is on you must have a reason why you want it – it cannot be I want a raise so I can have more money. That will never happen. It has to be specific. It can be something little like, I am going to make $150 extra so I can get that special bag that I saw at the store. Or it can be something bigger such as, my apartment is too small for my family and I am going to get a raise so that I can afford to get a home for us to live in.

No matter what it is, commit to becoming laser focused on not only your dreams, but on your “whys”

Live your dreams!  It is possible!

Carefully Choose Who to Associate With

December 23, 2014 By Debby Adar

One of the important things that we can control in our lives are the people that we choose to let into it.

The people who you have around you, be it, friends, the people you work with, or your family can strongly affect us. In fact, there is little chance that the people around you will have no effect on you. The people in our lives either make things easier for us, or they can compromise and weaken us in our approach to reaching our goals. People can affect our productivity. We all know that certain someone who we have worked with who likes to chat or gossip maybe a little too much. So it is important that we surround ourselves with positive people with the same goals and ambitions as we have.

Getting toxic people out of your life in important. I’m not saying that it is easy, in fact it is quite hard to face the hard facts sometimes and do some cleaning, especially when it’s a family member or someone who you used to be close to. But the more time you spend with people who speak and act unkind, disrespectful, resentful and bitter the better chance you will start feeling the same way. The more time you give to these people the less you respect yourself. Even a few minutes is enough to get you down and disrupt your positivity and determination and this will affect your thinking, creativity and productivity.

Now I am not saying that these people are bad – I am just saying that they are bad for you and for your reaching your goals and ambitions.

Think of it as giving candy to a diabetic. It is not good for them and in reality it is poison in their bodies. And for a diabetic to decide to be around someone who is always insisting that they have “just one piece of candy” is, in my opinion, a form of suicide. The same goes for being with people pushing their toxic vibes are you – this is suicide (or homicide) for your dreams and goals.

Seek out people who build you up and encourage you to b the best that you can possibly be. Each minute is made either more or less valuable by whom or what is shaping your mind at the time, and who you association with is a big key to your success.

Live your dreams. It is possible.

Happy Relationships!

December 19, 2014 By Debby Adar

What does it take to have a happy relationship?

In the US there are about 2.4 million marriages a year and about 1.2 million divorces a year. Those are some pretty sucky statistics! I have been in a bad marriage and got a divorce, so I certainly agree that if you are in a toxic relationship and you are dying together instead of growing together that it is probably better to get out. But today I wanted to focus on the positive side of marriages, the other 50%, you know, the ones that make it.

I am certainly not a marriage counselor, not do I want to be one! But I do now have a marriage that definitely works and exceeds a lot of people’s marriages that I see. My husband and I have been together for 26 years and we have NEVER even had an argument. Was it easy the whole 26 years? No, but we have ways to deal with it and make it work.

Here are 3 of the things that we do to make our marriage thrive and grow:

  • Don’t try to change each other. You cannot change anyone but yourself. Period. There is no way to change that. You cannot fix anyone. You can motivate and inspire, but you cannot fix. It will just frustrate you.
  • Be the person. You have to work on you. I see people who make up lists of what they want their significant other to be/have. Then they set out to find that person. That will never Look at your list – would the person who fits that description want to be with you? You must become the person that you need to be to attract the type of person that you want.
  • Change your perspective on every issue. See the other persons point of view before you criticize. It’s ok to be different. And you can always agree to disagree. Live peacefully.

These are just a few of the things that we do. There will be more to come in future posts.

Live your dreams. It is possible.

It’s A Great Time To Become A Millionaire!

November 20, 2014 By Debby Adar

This blog is based on something that I heard my mentor Darren Hardy talk about. It is great stuff!

A lot of people think that the world’s economy is in a bad situation. But that is just a distorted view of the very small lens of the news media. Statistically, there has never been a more abundant time than right now. Wealth is up 68% all over the world and the number of millionaires is growing like never before.

During 2013 the number of millionaires grew by 2 million. And by 2015 that number is going to double according to experts.

Almost all of the new millionaires will be entrepreneurs. That is a totally different mindset than what we have thought in the past. The days of working 40 hours a week for 45 years and then retiring and everything stayed the same –is LONG gone. And if you still think that you need to WAKE UP before it is too late!! That changed a long time ago. The world is totally different. It actually all started when money stopped being backed by gold back in 1971.

These world that we live in now is incredibly opportunistic. But the trick is we MUST change and adapt to the new way in this new world.

Becoming an entrepreneur, can get you a rate on return of 300% to 5000% and up, unlike the stock market who usually gives 6-12% – if you are lucky! Look at some of the companies that have been started with very little and have become worth several hundred thousand to millions of dollars because they scale their work and provide a value to people in large quantities and the market greatly rewards them.

Before gambling on the stock market, believe in yourself. All the money that you put in the stock market can be gone in a flash. Remember the dot com bubble not too long ago? – we were all millionaires —on paper. And then when we weren’t looking – the bubble burst. And a lot of us lost it all.

But you will always have the skill, character, emotional development that you built within yourself — through building your entrepreneurship.

So COUNT on yourself!

Live your dreams!  It is possible!
