When you blame someone for something that has happened, what you are really saying is that you have no control over your own life. You see, you don’t get in life what you want; you get in life what you are.
I hear so many people blaming others for things that are happening in their lives and I find it so sad that they don’t think or realize that they are the ones in control of their own lives. Once you realize that you determine what happens to you, and no one else, the quicker your life will turn around and become the life that you want to live.
I believe that taking full responsibility for your own life is the first step in getting to the next level in your own personal development. As the saying goes, “we are all self made, but only the successful admit to it.”
It is called full responsibility and I am not saying that it is easy, but I am saying that it is necessary. It is not the presidents fault that you don’t have a job, it’s not your parents fault that you have some hang ups in life, it’s not your bosses fault that your work was not good enough and it’s not your partners fault that you argue all the time. It is no ones fault but your own.
Most believe that the person with the responsibility has all the power. So why not give yourself that power?
The first step to taking responsibility is to look deep inside you and realize that, as Jim Rohn said, “for things to get better, you have to get better. For things to change, you have to change.” That is the first step in acquiring the life that you really want and dream about. When you take full responsibility for your life, your real life can begin.
The mindset of the irresponsible person is that there is someone out there who is responsible – who is that person? Why can’t it be you? Why not give yourself the power? With this new change of mind gives you the freedom to live your life to the fullest.
You are responsible for everything that has happened in your life, all the good and all the bad. And you are responsible for everything that is going to happen in your life.
Live your dreams! It is possible!
